LINCOLN BURROWS 7/2 WINNER!!!!!!!

Lincoln Burrows who had only shown moderate form in five point to points when trained in Ireland, and had also failed to get competitive in a maiden hurdle, and two novice hurdles for us, came good at Newcastle on Saturday afternoon, when coming home an 11 lengths winner after being left clear at the last, under Henry Brooke, who has ridden him on all four occasions now.

Lincoln Burrows was coming with a strong late run and probably would have won anyway, but the departure of his main rival meant he had a more comfortable victory than expected. His opening mark of 89 now looks generous, and I expect a rise of around 7lb, which will keep him competitive for next time.
