We send two up to Hexham on Saturday evening, where the going is currently described as good, good to soft in places.
Both of our runners will go head to head at 6.20.pm, in the 0-120 handicap hurdle, over two miles and four furlongs.
Singapore Trip was the model of consistency last year, finishing third three times, and getting his just deserts when wining at Perth in May, from a 6lb higher mark than now. He has since run on six occasions, with his best run coming last time out at Perth, when finishing a nine and a quarter lengths sixth. If he can build on that he will be in the mix, with Conor O'Farrell, who has ridden him once previously, taking the ride.
Ambassador is our other representative, and he will be partnered by Josh Thompson, who has won on him three times previously. Ambassador who is now 6lb lower than his last winning mark at Uttoxeter from last July, never managed to get competitive on his latest start at Uttoxeter seven days ago. He was always in rear that day, and has always shown his best form when being able to race up with the pace.
