HIDEO

HIDEO 22 April 2017 Cokoriko-Saora Owner-Two Nicks And a Mick.

Hideo is another of our recent French imports, he has raced on six occasions to date, twice over hurdles, and four times over fences, with the first five all being at Auteuil. He is from the first crop of his sire Cokoriko who only raced four times, but finished his career with a Listed success over hurdles. Hideo is also the third racecourse representative of his unraced Dom Alco dam.

Hideo made his debut at Auteuil in October 2020 in a three year old hurdle, where he made a very promising start by finishing runner up. He backed that up over the same course and distance 15 days later, before being put away over the winter.

His reappearance was also his chase debut back at Auteuil in April 2021, and once again he didn't disappoint by finishing third. A month later, and once again over the same course and distance, he again filled the third spot. He would race once more before being given a break, it was his fifth start at Auteuil, and as with all of his previous runs it was over the extended two miles and one furlong on either heavy, or very soft ground, this was the first time he failed to reach the frame, as he struggled to get involved. He returned at Meslay-Du-Maine when last seen in November, where after racing prominently early, he soon began to struggle and was eventually pulled up before the 12th.

Hideo joined us shortly after and will make his British debut very soon, he has been given an opening BHA mark of 117. To keep up to date with all the latest happenings at Oakwood Stables, Sharp Hill, and Curlew, click on 'NEWS' at www.mickyhammondracing.
