We have two runners at Beverley on Tuesday, and we also send two down to Yarmouth.
At Beverley at 1.25.pm, in the Amateur Jockeys 0-65 handicap Division 1 over 10 furlongs Irv will attempt to win for the first time since being successful at York from a 16lb higher mark 24 races ago. He has been a very frustrating character, but on his penultimate start at this track over a furlong and a half shorter he only went down fighting by a short head. He will have the assistance of Becky Smith in the saddle for the very first time.
In Division 2 of the Amateurs race at 2.0.pm, Milltown Lily will be partnered by Becky Smith who was also on board over this course and distance two weeks ago when finishing runner up from 1lb lower than now. Milltown Lily has run twice for us since arriving from Ireland, and a repeat of either of those two runs will see her go very close indeed.
We also have two runners at Yarmouth where the ultra consistent Myboymax who hasn't been out of the first three in any of his seven starts this season goes to post for the 2.45.pm, a 0-75 handicap over 14 furlongs. This is a considerable step up in trip as he hasn't raced beyond 12 furlongs this season, but he should see it out, having finished third at Musselburgh over the distance last September, he will once again be partnered by Aiden Brookes.
Alaskan Prince runs in the same colours at 3.20.pm, where she will once again be partnered by Aiden Brookes. The race is a 0-65 handicap over 10 furlongs. Since recently arriving at the yard Alaskan Prince is yet to beat a rival in two starts over six and seven furlongs. This will be her first ever run beyond seven furlongs, as we continue to learn about her, she is now 5lb below her last winning mark on the all weather at Newcastle last September.
