EVOLUIR STEPS BACK DOWN IN TRIP.

We have two runners on Tuesday, on day 2 of Redcar's Spring Bank Holiday two day meeting, where the going is currently described as good to firm, good in places.

Sidney Stratton had two runs as a two year old last year, at Redcar in July, and Thirsk in August, and with those two introductory runs behind him, he now sets out on his three year old career after having been gelded. Those two runs were over seven furlongs, and he now takes a significant step up in trip. Sidney Stratton who is a half brother to an 80 rated Racing Post winner, goes to post for the 10 furlongs maiden at 3.20.pm, with Aiden Brookes, who was also on board last year, back in the saddle.

Evoluir has been a member of the team since last October, and has been kept busy, with his highlight coming at Wolverhampton in February when overcoming the nightmare stall of 8 over seven furlongs, and also even with his customary normal slow start, he still won by a neck. His five subsequent starts have been below that effort, but he is now just 2lb above that last wining mark. Evoluir runs at 5.25.pm, in the 0-60 Amatuer Jockeys handicap, over six furlongs. It's a big welcome back to Becky Smith who will be having her first ride for a little while, and has an excellent 12% strike rate on the flat in the last five seasons.
