A massive congratulations to our stable apprentice jockey Aiden Brookes who rode his very first winner at Southwell on Thursday evening aboard the ultra consistent The Retriever. To ride your first ever winner must be up there with the most wonderful things you can experience, and achieve in life, and Aiden summed it up by saying 'It's what we get up early everyday for.'

The Retriever who is proving to be a bargain buy at £800 was winning for the second time at Southwell, he has also finished second at the track on five occasions. His overall form suggested that the handicapper had his measure, but he appears to have taken a leap forward. He is bound to take a hike in the weights, but having consistency on your side is a big plus.

Congratulation to the connections, RM&T Holdings Limited & Partners.
