GETAWAY JEWEL 11/8 WINNER!!!!!!!

Good things came come to those who wait. Getaway Jewel has been a winner in waiting for quite some time, but every time he was ready to win the rains came to hinder his chances. Getaway Jewel is ground dependant, and at Fakenham on Sunday afternoon the weather Gods were finally smiling on him, and he duly obliged.

Getaway Jewel was winning for the fifth time under the ex champion jockey Brian Hughes. The duo were always travelling strongly, and when Brian asked him to go and win his race after jumping the second, last he picked up gamely, and quickly put the race to bed.
