FOSTER'SISLAND TO RUN AT AYR.

We have one runner on day one of the Scottish Grand National meeting at Ayr on Friday, where the going is currently described as soft.

Foster'sisland is as genuine as they come, and he also enjoys Ayr, as his previous form figures at the track read '112.' He is the winner of six of his 27 starts over hurdles, and has been placed second five times, and third on four occasions. He is now 1lb below his last winning mark at Bangor, and showed that he is as good as ever when finishing fourth in Class 2 company at Kelso last time out. This is also a Class 2 event, and he is deserving of his place in this £30,000 race, which is a 0-150 handicap hurdle, over two miles and five furlongs, at 3.20.pm, with his regular rider Emma Smith-Chaston in the saddle.
