Fiftyshadesaresdev makes a quick return to Pontefract, just six days after he finished third there, following a nine months break. From a much reduced mark of 63, he ran a cracker, proving that soft ground holds no fears. Surprisingly this is only the second time in his career that he has stepped up to 10 furlongs, a trip he should see out. Fiftyshadesaresdev runs at 3.15.pm, in the 0-72 handicap, with Billy Garritty taking the ride.
Quoteline Direct is now 11 year old, and will return for his 10th season of racing, when going to post for the 0-58 handicap, at 5.35.pm, over a mile, with his regular rider Aiden Brookes in the saddle. Quoteline Direct has always had a close connection to Pontefract, as he won on his racecourse debut at the track, as a two year old, at 22/1, on July 15th, 2015. This will be his 17th start at the track, and his 89th start in total, on the flat and over jumps.
