FAINCHE & CORNERSTONE LAD OUR RUNNERS.

We have declared two for Newcastle on Saturday, where the going is currently heavy, and there is standing water in places, but at the time of writing no inspection had been called for.

Fainche has now run well in each of her last three starts, finishing third, then second, and third last time again. A repeat of any of those runs will see her go close once more, in conditions which will suit. She runs at 12.55.pm, in the 0-100 conditional jockeys handicap hurdle, over the extended two miles and seven furlongs, with William Maggs having his first ride for the yard.

Cornerstone Lad who has always been at home in heavy ground, goes to post for the 0-130 handicap chase, over two miles and four furlongs, at 2.05.pm, where he will once again have the assistance of Connor O'Farrell in the saddle. Cornerstone Lad is yet to fully hit form this season, but is now down to a mark of 110, and this step back up in trip is probably what is needed, judged on recent efforts.

Good luck to the connections, In 4 A Grand, and Mrs B M Lofthouse.

Fainche.
