AN ACROSS THE CARD DOUBLE!!!!!!!

IRV 100/30 WINNER!!!!!!!

Irv finally came good again at Beverley on Tuesday afternoon when breaking a losing streak of 25 races since his last victory at York in 2019, which coincidentally was also on July 26th. There are probably two main reasons for his improved form, one is that the yard is in very rude health at the moment, and the majority of the horses are running well, but in all probability it is the step up in trip to 10 furlongs which has done the trick, as he settled nicely under Becky Smith, who always had him in the right place, and when she asked him to go and win the race around one out the response was immediate.

MYBOYMAX 8/1 WINNER!!!!!!!

Myboymax also appears to have benefited from a step up in trip, as he was a comfortable winner under Aiden Brookes at Yarmouth. Myboymax has only been out of the first three on one occasion in his last 15 starts, which includes winning four times, and has seen his mark climb from 50 to 70. Up until today Myboymax was looking in the grip of the handicapper, but he appears to have taken his form up a notch with this success, and the only explanation can be the significant step up in trip to 14 furlongs, as nearly all his other runs have come over 12 furlongs.
