TWO DECLARED FOR WETHERBY.

Wetherby stage their final meeting of the 2022-2023 season on Tuesday evening on ground that is currently described as good to firm, firm in places, and they are watering to maintain.

Burnage Boy came as close as he has ever done in trying to break his maiden tag at the 46th attempt at Newcastle over hurdles a month ago, when going down by just half a length. Burnage Boy has the ability to win a race, but when push comes to shove he has always come up just that little bit short so far. He now returns to the flat, to contest the 5.40.pm, in a 0-60 apprentice handicap over two miles, with Aiden Brookes taking the ride.

Final Chant has taken time to come to hand, and he still needs to strengthen up mentally and physically. He made his handicap debut at Pontefract 18 days ago, when weakening quickly from two out, so this drop back in trip should help. We probably wont see the best of him until next year, and this race will give him more much needed experience. He goes to post for the 7.20.pm, in a 0-60 handicap for three year old's only, over one mile, with Aiden Brookes retaining the ride.
