We have two runners at Catterick on Tuesday, where the going is currently described as good, good to firm in places, and they have watered.
Irv who is entered at Carlisle on Monday evening may or may not turn out again quickly for this. If he does then it will be a complete step in to the unknown over this extended one mile and seven furlongs. He ran over one mile and six furlongs at Wolverhampton two weeks ago, where the race wasn't run to suit, but he is well handicapped, having run above expectations at Catterick on his penultimate start when finishing second. Irv runs at 3.30.pm, in the 0-60 handicap. with Aiden Brookes who has ridden three winners from his last seven rides in the saddle.
Toby Too Scoops had three educational runs as a green two year old, then on his second run at three, on his penultimate start, he finished a close up sixth at Wetherby. He wasn't as good at Nottingham 18 days ago when getting outpaced, and this step up in trip by two furlongs, and the addition of first time blinkers should be in his favour, from what is now 8lb's below his opening handicap mark. Toby Too Scoops runs at 4.30.pm, in the 0-55 handicap, over 12 furlongs, with Aiden Brookes, who was on him that day at Wetherby, back in the saddle.
