SPARKLE IN HIS EYE BIDS FOR A QUICK FOLLOW UP.

We send two down to Wolverhampton on Saturday evening when two of our recent winners go head to head in the 5.15.pm, a 0-60 Amateur Jockey's handicap over the extended mile.

Sparkle In His Eye was a winner at Wolverhampton as recently as Monday when winning an apprentice race under Aiden Brookes which means he escapes a penalty, and will run from the same mark of 55. That race was over seven furlongs, and the step up in trip will be to his advantage, he has also been lucky with the draw, and will come out of stall one. He will be also partnered for the first time by Becky Smith, which is a significant advantage in these types of races.

Our other runner in the race is Quoteline Direct who hasn't been as lucky with the draw, as he will have to come out of stall 12. He also ran last Monday, when finishing fifth at Wolverhampton over 12 furlongs, a trip he definitely failed to stay, having previously won at the track two weeks earlier over a furlong further than now. He will be ridden Georgia Fenwicke-Clennell, who is a valued member of the team here at Oakwood Stables. This will be her first ever ride under rules, and we wish her the very best of luck.
