PENPAL DECLARED FOR SOUTHWELL.

We have one runner on Wednesday evening at Southwell where the ground is currently described as good, when the ex French seven year old gelding Penpal goes to post for the 0-100 handicap hurdle over two miles and four furlongs at 8.20.pm, with his usual partner Alain Cawley once again taking the ride.

Penpal is ground dependant so would definitely benefit from any rain that comes between now and race time. He disappointed when last seen at Market Rasen 12 days ago, with the going proving too fast, and is better judged on earlier efforts this season at Sedgefield in April when finishing third, and most notably at Carlisle when finishing a close up fourth back in February. He will wear first time cheek pieces, as his mark continues to fall, with him being able to race from a career low of 75.
