IRV IS BACK ON THE TURF.

We send two down the road to Ripon on Sunday, where the going is currently described as good, good to soft in places.

Air Of Approval will make her fourth racecourse appearance at 3.25.pm, in the extended nine furlongs maiden fillies race, with Aiden Brookes in the saddle for the first time. Air Of Approval has finished down the field in two bumpers at Newcastle, and Kelso, and an All Weather maiden on the flat at Newcastle to date. She will probably appreciate this step down in trip, but far easier opportunities will come along once she receives a handicap mark.

Irv who was last seen on the All Weather at Newcastle back in January will probably appreciate this return to the turf, where he starts out from an attractive mark of 55, with Aiden Brookes who has ridden him on several occasions taking the ride. Irv hasn't got a brilliant draw in stall 10, but that shouldn't be too much of an inconvenience. The ground should also be fine, and he can go well fresh. The race is a 0-70 handicap over the extended nine furlongs at 4.55.pm.
