COUP DE COEUR AIMING TO GO ONE BETTER.

We send three runners on the short trip up to Sedgefield on Friday where the going at the time of writing is soft.

Trac is first up at 2.10.pm, in the 0-110 handicap chase, over two miles and three furlongs, with Emma Smith-Chaston retaining the ride. The combination were winners at at Catterick from a 5lb lower mark in a weaker event 29 days ago, but Trac can never be ruled out, as he is the winner of five of his last 11 starts, though he will need a new personal best to take this.

Coup De Coeur ran his best race for us from his four starts on Boxing Day, when finishing runner up in a competitive handicap at Wetherby, and he can once again race off the same mark here. This race also has strength in depth, but Coup De Coeur is beginning to look like a consistent type, he runs at 2.45.pm, in the 0-120 handicap hurdle, over the extended two miles, with Jamie Hamilton retaining the ride.

Le Grand Vert is our final runner of the day at 3.55.pm, in the 0-105 handicap chase, over three miles and three furlongs, where he will be ridden by Emma Smith-Chaston. Le Grand Vert's best run for us since arriving from France was in March of last year, when he was runner up from a 5lb higher mark than now. He has ran with promise on both of his completed starts this season, and this extreme distance could bring about a little more improvement.
