BRICKADANK. 30 March 2016. Cape Cross-Tralanza. Owner-A & S Associates.

Brickadank is the fifth produce of his dam to see a racecourse, two of his half brothers are winners, including Lord Murphy, a three time winner. Although his dam Tralanza retired a 13 race maiden, she did achieve an official best rating of 77.

Brickadank has only raced twice to date, making his racecourse debut in December of last year in a junior bumper at Newcastle, over their extended one mile and six furlongs, with Becky Smith riding. He finished a respectable forth, weakening from just over two out, after being keen early on.He didn't reappear until August after having corrective wind surgery, when lining up in a 10 furlongs all age maiden, taking on some high quality three year old's, and having to give them 7lb weight for age.He ran very green, after missing the break, and came home in his own time, after weakening from over four out.

Brickadank returns to Ripon on Saturday in another hot looking all age maiden, this time stepping up to 12 furlongs, as he continues his education, the race is at and Billy Garritty takes the ride.
