WINNER!! FRANKELIO.

Congratulations to Forty Forty Twenty, the owners, and winning connections of Frankelio, who held on gamely under Graham Lee to win by a neck at Pontefract on Monday, in the 2.20.pm. race.

Frankelio had some high class form in France as a three year old. which suggested that an all time low mark of 69 was very attractive. He was always handy from a good draw, which proved essential, as three of the first four home were drawn, one, two, and three, and all raced prominently. The handicapper can't get carried away either, as the first four home were only covered by a length, so I will be very surprised if he is raised more than 3lb. You would think that now Frankelio has got his head in front, he should come on for the run, and continue to take advantage of a very handy mark.

We have now had three runners since the resumption of racing, and there is no doubt the horses are well, Convivial will progress from his trip to Chelmsford last week, and our other runner Quoteline Direct would have definitely finished in the first three, if he hadn't been hampered at a crucial stage of the race.
