VISITE OFFICIELLE COULD STEP UP ON SOLID DEBUT.

The ex French Visite Officielle made her stable debut for us at Pontefract 18 days ago, when still looking in with a chance three out, she only weakened from the two marker to finish a respectable 11 and a half lengths ninth, that was her first run in 10 months so she is entitled to build on that. The chances are that the ground is going to be on the soft side, and that looks in her favour, as her only win to date came on that surface in August of last year. The race is the 'Bluff Cove' 0-75 handicap over two miles and two furlongs at 3.05.pm, with the bonus of Hollie Doyle in the saddle.

We also run Fiftyshadesaresdev at 3.40.pm, in a 0-75 handicap over a mile, where he will be partnered by Jason Hart for the first time. Fiftyshadesaresdev has drawn the number five stall which could make life more difficult if the runners come up the stand side on what looks likely to be soft ground, but on the plus side Fiftyshadesaresdev has run well on a soft surface on more than one occasion in the past. His stand out pieces of form were achieved from a 2lb higher mark than now at York back in May, and in his next start at Pontefract when finishing third, but his last four starts have not reached those heights.
