We have two declared runners at Wolverhampton on Tuesday, where their all weather Tapeta surface is currently described as standard.
Bunker Bay goes in the first at 6.30.pm, in the 0-60 apprentices handicap, over one mile and six furlongs, with his regular rider Aiden Brookes in the saddle. Bunker Bay looked like a potential winner in waiting on his penultimate start when finishing a close up fourth at Southwell in March, but on his latest start over the same course and distance in April he failed to match that run. He now steps up by a further three furlongs, a trip he has proved he stays when trained elsewhere back in 2023.
Arranmore returns from a 145 day break, when contesting the 0-55 handicap, over the extended mile at 8.30.pm, with Aiden Brookes, who has ridden him on 15 previous occasions, once again taking the ride. Arranmore who is now eight years old, was a smart performer in his youth, achieving a best BHA mark of 91, when trained in Ireland back in 2019 as a two year old. He can now race from a career low mark of 50, with the handicapper giving him every chance to be competitive over the coming weeks.
