We send two down to Uttoxeter on Wednesday, where the going is currently good, and they are doing selective watering.
Ambassador was a dual winner over course and distance in July, but on his latest return to the track two weeks ago he failed to pick up from the second last, and eventually came home in seventh place. On his best form from the 2021 season he is still a very well handicapped horse, and he is only 2lb above his last winning mark. He runs at 2.25.pm, in the 0-100 conditional jockeys handicap hurdle, over the extended one mile and seven furlongs, with our stable conditional jockey Josh Thompson able to claim 10lb.
You Say Its Over has her fifth start for us since arriving from the Irish point to point field in June. The pick of her form for us is probably her second place finish at Cartmel in June in maiden hurdle company, so her mark of 80 looks very reasonable on that. She runs at 5.20.pm, in the 0-105 novices handicap hurdle, over two miles and seven furlongs, which is the longest trip that she has tackled for us to date, with the champion jockey Brian Hughes retaining the ride.
