We send two representatives to Redcar on Monday where the going at the time of writing is good to firm, and they are watering .
Resdev Thunder will have his third start in three weeks since making his debut at Thirsk last month, where after being slow away he looked very green. He next appeared at Catterick a week ago and once again failed to beat a rival. Those races were over six, and seven furlongs, and a considerable step up in trip is probably what is needed. The race is at 1.35.pm, a maiden over the straight mile with Andrew Elliott retaining the ride.
Our other runner is the five year old mare Elena De La Vega who finds herself pitted against some very well bred Newmarket raiders at 2.45.pm, in a novices stakes over 10 furlongs, where Andrew Elliott rides her for the first time. Elena De La Vega was green on her debut in bumper company at Newcastle back in January, before failing to beat a rival at Redcar on her flat debut in April. She showed her first signs of ability over this course and distance last time when finishing a 12 and a half lengths fourth in claiming company, she will find this company much hotter.
