After a lot of rain on Friday, the going for Cartmel on Sunday has changed to good, good to soft, at the time of writing.
Balkotic unfortunately unseated his rider at an early stage when last seen nine days ago, this was following his first run back in six months, when down the field at Newcastle in May. He finished last season on a high when winning at Hexham and Catterick, and remains 3lb above that last winning mark. He goes to post for the 4.01.pm, in a 0-110 handicap hurdle over three miles and one furlong, with Josh Thompson retaining the ride.
Since arriving from Ireland in the autumn of 2021, Bulldoze has run on five occasions, with his best efforts being two runner up spots. At Hexham nearly seven weeks ago, he was returning from a 14 months break, when pulling up before the last. At eight years old, and with only 15 runs to his name, there is still time for him to get his career back on track. He runs at 5.10.pm, in the 0-110 handicap chase, over two miles and one furlong, with Tommy Dowson in the saddle for the first time.
Good luck to the connections, Raypasha, and RM&T Holdings Limited & Partners.
