TWO OF OUR PROVEN SAND LOVERS GO BACK TO SOUTHWELL ON SUNDAY.

The Retriever finally got off the mark at the 20th attempt nine days ago, when seeing his race out in convincing style, and also putting to bed any doubts about his resolution. Overcoming a bad draw in 12, Jack Garritty skilfully steered him in to a prominent position, from where he kicked for home a furlong from the finish. He has a better draw this time in stall five, with Jack Garritty retaining the ride at 1.46.pm, the race is once again over seven furlongs, but he will race from a 5lb higher mark.

At 3.25.pm The Resdev Way returns to Southwell for the fourth time in 31 days, he has gradually finished closer to winning with each run, and was third, beaten by three and three quarter lengths 10 days ago. All those three runs were over 14 furlongs, a trip he last won over in May 2019, this time he drops back to 12 furlongs, he was a winner over that distance in 2016. He has been dropped a further 2lb since his last run, and Jack Garritty will be on board.

Good luck to the connections, RM&T Holdings Limited & Partners, and Resdev
