TWO MEETINGS FOR US ON MONDAY.

We send two up to Hexham for their jumps meeting, where the going is currently good to soft, and we also have a representative on the flat at Pontefract, on ground that is currently described as good.

You Say Its Over is first up at Hexham, in the 0-100 handicap chase at 3.48.pm, over three miles, with Danny McMenamin retaining the ride. You Say Its Over is yet to win a race, but has finished in the runner up spot on four occasions over hurdles. She has now raced on three occasions over fences, having finished third and fourth on her last two starts. She is handicapped to be in the mix on her hurdles form, and could yet transform that to fences.

Halpha Soleil was the winner of two hurdles races last season, and after finding his feet has now finished runner up on his last two starts over fences. In order to preserve his novice status over fences, he reverts to hurdles here from a 4lb higher mark than his last win over hurdles, and also his latest start over fences 20 days ago. Halpha Soleil runs at 4.18.pm, in the 0-105 handicap hurdle, over two miles and four furlongs, with Brian Hughes retaining the ride.

At Pontefract, Balkotic has his first run on the flat since June 2022, when he goes to post for the 0-60 'Pontefract Marathon Handicap,' over the extended two miles and five furlongs at 4.35.pm, with Aiden Brookes riding him for the first time. Balkotic who finished fifth in this corresponding event back in 2022 has spent the majority of his career over hurdles, but has lost his way this season. He will have no stamina problems, and it will be interesting to see how he goes in this different discipline.
