TWO DECLARED ON WEDNESDAY.

We have two representatives at two different meetings on Wednesday, where the going for the afternoon at Pontefract is good to firm , good in places, at the time of writing, and for Musselburgh in the evening it is currently good.

Quoteline Direct will make a quick reappearance at Pontefract, just four days after finishing third at Wolverhampton on Saturday evening. Quoteline Direct ran his usual race on Saturday, clearly going easily, until push came to shove, and then finding very little off the bridle. He will now have Silvestre De Sousa on board for the first time, to try to make his mind up for him. The race is at 3.10.pm, a 51-70 handicap over 10 furlongs, at a track he has performed well at in the past.

The Frankel gelding Uccello makes the near 300 miles round trip to Musselburgh to contest their final event at 8.25.pm, a 0-60 handicap over the extended 12 furlongs, with Barry McHugh on board for the first time. Uccello clearly has his quirks as he showed at Wolverhampton last time when hanging right handed, and proving unsteerable. This was not the first time he has shown signs of temperament, but if he ever gets his act together there will be some ability there.
