TWO DECLARED FOR CARTMEL.

We have two runners at Cartmel on Saturday, where the going is currently riding as good and they are watering.

Ambassador has run well the last twice, when finishing third on both occasions, at his favourite track of Uttoxeter. Those runs show that the will to win is still there, so he should be in the shake up once again from the same mark. Ambassador runs at 2.10.pm, in the 0-100 conditional jockeys handicap hurdle, over two miles and one furlong, with his regular rider Josh Thompson in the saddle.

Celestial Reign was a winner at Sedgefield in May, and then bettered that 13 days later over this course and distance when finishing a short head second. He tailed off on the flat at Pontefract 17 days ago, with the two miles probably being the reason, as a post race scope showed no abnormalities. Celestial Reign who has cheek pieces refitted for this runs at 3.55.pm, in the novices hurdle, under a 7lb penalty, over two miles and one furlong, with Brian Hughes taking the ride.
