We send two up to Carlisle on Monday, where the going is currently described as soft, good to soft in places on the hurdles track.
Applaus returns to his favourite track, where he is already a three times course winner. His best run this season was back in November when finishing a two and a half lengths third, from a 3lb higher mark than now, and if he is in the same mood he will be a danger to all. He runs at 3.32.pm, in the 0-120 handicap, over two miles and one furlong, with his regular rider Emma Smith-Chaston in the saddle.
Dark Duomo has yet to hit form for us since arriving at the yard last autumn, having run in two hurdles and two chases to date. His final start for his previous yard was when finishing second at Warwick over hurdles last March, from 9lb higher than now, so a return to form would see him well in the mix. He runs at 4.07.pm, in the 0-100 handicap chase, over the extended three miles, with Emma Smith-Chaston taking the ride.
