TRIMMERS LANE 25/1 WINNER!!!!!!!

Having only his 11th rules start at the age of very nearly 11 years old Trimmers Lane finally came of age on Saturday afternoon.

He was purchased by Micky approximately a year ago to the day after winning a point to point in Ireland, on only his second start in that discipline. He was a late starter having made his racecourse debut in a point, a month before his seventh birthday, when finishing third in December 2016.

In five previous runs for us, his best effort before this was a 15 lengths fifth at Catterick in January from a mark of 91, his win today came from a much reduced rating of 79. Since he was 5lb out of the weights, if turned out again quickly, he will only have to race from a 2lb higher mark.
