THREE DECLARED FOR HEXHAM.

It's going to be tough going at Hexham on Thursday, where the ground is currently described as heavy, soft in places, and there is a possibility of rain and snow.

Kildrum is first up at 2.30.pm, in a 0-100 handicap chase over three miles, with Emma Smith-Chaston retaining the ride. Kildrum will appreciate the heavy ground, and was a course and distance winner at this track last May. He hasn't got a lot to spare at the weights, but these are his conditions.

Visite Officielle ran in three Pontefract staying races last season and showed a willing attitude on each occasion. She has show the same aptitude since sent hurdling, with a third place finish at Wetherby on Boxing Day. She is another for whom the predicted heavy ground will hold no fears, and following this run she will be eligible for a handicap mark. The race is a maiden hurdle over two miles and four furlongs at 3.10.pm, with Emma Smith-Chaston retaining the ride.

Trevelyn's Corn goes to post for the 5.10.pm, a 0-100 handicap chase over two and a half miles, with Emma Smith-Chaston back in the saddle. Trevelyn's Corn has probably found the three miles on his last two starts stretching his stamina, so this step back down in trip should help, a repeat of his second over this course and distance almost a year ago will see him in the mix.
