THE RETURN OF KING OF UNICORNS.
We have two declared runners at Carlisle on Monday, where the going at the time of writing is good to soft.
King Of Unicorns returns from a 352 day break, when going to post for the 0-70 handicap at 3.30.pm, with his regular rider Billy Garritty back in the saddle. King Of Unicorns is already the winner of a bumper back in 2021, before having his attentions turned to the flat, and achieving a best BHA mark of 74 to date, courtesy of finishing third on four occasions. He now steps up to one mile and six furlongs for the first time, from a mark of 66, in a race that he is entitled to need.
Arranmore is our other representative at 4.00.pm, in the 0-70 handicap, over seven furlongs, where he will be partnered by Billy Garritty for the first time. Arranmore is now down to a career low mark of 63, after failing to fire in his recent starts, including a return to the turf at Catterick last time, after five successive goes on the all weather. He will find this stiff seven furlongs more to his liking, than the easier seven at Catterick, but his overall form suggests that any further rain could hinder his chance.
