THE RESDEV WAY CHASING A DOZEN.

Two of our elder statesmen will make the near 400 miles round trip to Wolverhampton on Saturday evening, where the going on the Tapeta at Wolverhampton is predicted as standard.

Quoteline Direct goes to post for the 6.50.pm, a 0-55 handicap over his favoured extended nine furlongs, with Billy Garritty taking the ride. Quoteline Direct who has won once previously at the track, and been placed on a further eight occasions, came there full of running over course and distance when last seen two weeks ago, but didn't find as much as expected when asked to go and win the race, but he still finished a very respectable second. It is disappointing to see that the handicapper felt he had to raise the nine year 2lb for getting beaten.

The admirable The Resdev Way returns to the scene of what was his 11th victory two weeks ago, when he will run in the 7.20.pm, a 0-60 handicap over 12 furlongs. That was a particularly weak event, but The Resdev Way couldn't have won any easier, having travelled well all the way round, and he is obviously at the top of his game currently. He has been raised 3lb for that success, and will be ridden by Billy Garritty for the first time. 12 furlongs is a minimum for The Resdev Way, so a fast pace would be to his advantage.
