Never think you've got this game sorted because something in racing will always happen to bring you back down to earth. We were on a high yesterday after a superb treble at Sedgefield, but we were soon well and truly brought back down to earth with the loss of two horses. The unraced Teremendous was sadly lost at home, and the exciting prospect Just Paddy's Band was lost after a fall at Newcastle, commiserations to all of the connections.

The Resdev Way has done it again. On Saturday evening at Wolverhampton he won his 11th race when quickening inside the final furlong to win comfortably by a length and a quarter under Becky Smith who remained calm when the horse was short of room just over a furlong out. 12 furlongs would be a minimum trip for The Resdev Way, and the slow early pace wouldn't have helped, but he was the quality performer at this level, and of course he had the assistance of the very experienced Becky Smith.

Congratulations to the connections, Resdev.
