Just the one runner on Tuesday when our recent acquisition The Resdev Way runs in the Class 6, 0-60 handicap at 1.50.pm, with Jack Garritty riding him for the first time.
The Resdev Way acts well on Southwell's fibre sand surface, having previously won on it twice over Tuesdays distance of one mile and six furlongs. That was back in the spring of 2018, and on the second occasion from a mark of 76, which is 15lb higher than his current mark. It is just over a year, and 10 runs since he last got competitive, finishing third at Southwell, beaten 3/4 length, off a mark of 73. over an extended two miles. He arrived at Oakwood Stables in October, and has raced once for us so far,at Southwell two weeks ago when finishing fourth, beaten around 12 lengths,after being too keen in the early stages, he was dropped 4lb for that run, and will now race off 61.
