Sparkle In His Eye made it three wins from his last four starts under his promising apprentice jockey Aiden Brookes who is now three from three on him, when taking up the running inside the final furlong and always doing enough to win by a neck at Wolverhampton on Monday evening.
Sparkle In His Eye took his time to find his feet when arriving from France in the spring of last year, but since returning from injury in October he has continued to make steady progress, making all at Kempton in January, and then following up at Wolverhampton two weeks later. The handicapper can't raise him too much for this, so he will remain eligible for another 0-60 again next time.
