SINCERELY RESDEV.

SINCERELY RESDEV. 31 January 2015. Rock Of Gibralter Owner-Resdev.

Sincerely Resdev is by the exceptional miler Rock Of Gibralter, winner of the 2002, 2000 Guineas, out of a Singspiel mare, who got no further than a mile in her racing days, so it is a surprise that he needs a test of stamina to bring out the the best in him. He has five siblings who all only ran on the flat, with two of them achieving a mark in the mid 80's.

Sincerely Resdev made his racecourse debut for the yard of David O'Meara in September of 2017, over a mile at Thirsk, keeping on to be beaten five lengths in to sixth place. When he reappeared a month later he was now in the care of the Phil Kirby yard, where he finished fifth at Pontefract, once again over a mile. His final start as a two year old was at Ayr in October, when being beaten by 15 lengths in to fourth place.

When he next appeared in April 2018 as a three year old, and stepping up to 12 furlongs for the first time in handicap company from a mark of 61, he finished last of four on the sand at Southwell. Two weeks later he reappeared at Wolverhampton, and the Racing Post comment said 'no response' after being driven from over two out. He was stepped up to 14 furlongs 15 days later, and after being held up early, made a little late headway to finish an 11 lengths fourth. Now down to a mark of 50, he returned at the end of May at Redcar, and ran his best race yet, when finishing second. He was then fourth at Wetherby, and third at Ayr in first time cheek pieces, before a further three below par efforts.Sincerely Resdev was kept on the go through until December, where he finished third, and then second in two runs at Southwell, over 16 furlongs, and then 12 furlongs, from a mark that was now down to 46. He was off the track for the next nine months, and after a pipe opener at Southwell on the flat, he made his hurdles debut at Wetherby in October. He raced in a further two novice hurdles at Haydock, and Carlisle, in December, and having made no show in any of those races was given an opening hurdles handicap mark of 76. He made his handicap debut at Sedgefield in January 2020, and finished a respectable 12 lengths third to his future stable mate Roxyfet, but only nine days later back at Sedgefield, he made no mistake when winning for the first time. That unfortunately was a false dawn, as in his final five starts for the Phil Kirby yard, on the flat, and over the jumps, he failed to get competitive.

Sincerely Resdev arrived at Oakwood Stables in October 2020, and made his stable debut at Sedgefield in November over two miles and one furlong, and made a winning start for us, coming home in first place by a nose.He returned at Sedgefield 30 days later under a 6lb penalty, and was disappointing over two and a half miles, finishing in sixth place. At Catterick in January 2021, when running over the extended one mile and seven furlongs he stayed on into third, with the trip looking as if it was on the short side. His latest start was at Catterick on March 2nd, where over the extended two miles and three furlongs he was once again doing his best work in the closing stages, staying on to be third, and suggesting another win isn't too far away. TO BE CONTINUED.
