We have one runner on Thursday at Carlisle where the going is currently good to soft, good in places.

Shaws Bridge ran five races over fences last season, without looking like a natural, and since returning to hurdles he has finished in the first four on all of his completed starts. He is probably well handicapped on the best of his form from the spring of 2021, but he hasn't quite produced that since. If he is to take this race then he will have to return to the best of that spring form.

The race is a 0-120 conditional jockeys handicap at, over two miles and four furlongs where he will be partnered by Emma Smith-Chaston.
