We have one runner on the all weather Tapeta surface at Newcastle on Monday.
The five year old mare Ring Fenced is our representative, when she goes to post for the 0-55 handicap, over the straight mile, drawn in a decent looking stall nine, with her regular rider Aiden Brookes in the saddle.
Ring Fenced was last in the winners enclosure back in January 2023, but in 12 subsequent starts she has failed to replicate that form, which has seen her mark drop by 18lb. She came back off a five months break when finishing seventh at Southwell 39 days ago, and that should have put the edge on her for this.
