READY FREDDY.

We send two down to Nottingham on Wednesday afternoon when both Trouble Shooter, and Walkonby both go to post at 4.55.pm, for the 0-60 handicap over 10 furlongs for Gentleman Amateur riders who have not ridden 10 winners to date. The going at the time of writing is good to soft, soft in places, which will suit both our participants.

Trouble Shooter has run on four occasions since joining the yard back in July, twice on the flat, and twice over hurdles, and we are still waiting to see the best of him. He is the winner of five flat races, the latest on the all weather back in October 2019, and he was placed third over hurdles as recently as this June over hurdles at Southwell, his mark is now 9lb below that last winning rating. He will be ridden by Mr Freddie Mitchell who is yet to ride a winner from just 15 rides to date, but he has finished second or third on six occasions.

We also run the four year old filly Walkonby who is now 14lb below her last winning mark achieved in March 2020 when in the care of the Mick Channon yard. She has raced on seven occasions since arriving in October of last year, and has struggled to regain the best of her form. This time she will have conditions in her favour, as 10 furlongs is probably her best trip, and she has drawn well in stall four. She will be ridden by Mr Frederick Tett who has three wins under rules from just 29 rides. Both jockeys will be having their first ride for the yard.
