OUR FIRST TWO YEAR OLD RUNNER OF THE SEASON.

We send two up to Redcar on Tuesday, where the going is currently described as good to firm, good in places, and they are watering to maintain.

Thursday's Child is our first two year old runner of the 2023 season, and she goes to post for the 2.20.pm, a maiden fillies stakes over six furlongs, with Graham Lee on board. Thursday's Child is the first racecourse representative of her dam, who won three races from just nine starts, recording a personal best on her final start at Wolverhampton, when winning from a mark of 77. Thursday's Child's sire is the three times Group 1 winning sprinter Harry's Angel, on what looks a good pedigree.

Air Of Approval showed little in two bumper starts, and has found herself up against it in two hot maidens on the flat since, the latest at Ripon nine days ago. She runs at 3.20.pm, in the novices stakes over 10 furlongs, with Graham Lee in the saddle for the first time. This is a very good looking race, but it will give Air Of Approval further much needed experience, and after this she will receive her first handicap mark, which will give her every chance of being competitive in future events.

Good luck to the connections, Sharp Hill Thoroughbreds, and Mr G King.
