OUR FIRST TWO YEAR OLD RUNNER OF THE SEASON.

We currently have five two year old's in the yard, and the very well related Titch Smith will become our first juvenile runner of the 2022 season when he goes to post for the first at Wetherby on Tuesday at 5.15.pm, in five and a half furlong maiden, where the going at the time of writing is good to firm, good in places, and they have been watering.

Titch Smith is by the top class miler Dragon Pulse, out of an unraced Zamindar mare. What the Dam was never given chance to prove on the racecourse she has certainly made up for in the breeding shed, where two of her produce have both shown well above ability, especially the three year old Beauty Inspire who is unbeaten in both of his starts at two, a Curragh maiden, and then a comfortable success last July in Group 3 company, again at the Curragh, Aiden Brookes will take the ride.

Frankelio has his second start of the season at 7.0.pm, in a 0-75 handicap over a mile, where he will be partnered by his regular partner Graham Lee. Frankelio who now races from a career low mark of 61 made a fairly encouraging return at Pontefract 57 days ago when finishing a three and three quarter lengths sixth after racing keenly. His stand out piece of form from last season was when finishing second at York from an 8lb higher mark than now, he should not be inconvenienced by the ground, and has drawn well in 8.
