ONE TO LOOK OUT FOR.

FRANKSTER 08 May 2013 Equiano-Milwaukee Owner-The Cobb Family.

Frankster is now one of the elder statesmen in the yard, having arrived from Doncaster's Breeze up Sales in 2015. He made his debut in September of that year over 6 furlongs at Pontefract, before a trip to York, tackling very good company. It was back to Pontefract for his final start as a juvenile, and over 6 furlongs again, he showed his first form, finishing a very respectable second, and earning an official rating of seventy seven.

He ran 5 times as a 3 year old, all in maiden company with his best run coming over the stiff mile at Pontefract, the combination which over the years would prove his most effective. During the early part of his 4 year old career he was struggling to find his form, and it wasn't until September when contesting a Pontefract maiden, where he looked to have little chance, did he surprise us by regaining the form he had shown as a juvenile,by finishing 2nd. Eighteen days later under his optimum conditions, and at his thirteenth attempt he got off the mark, the handicapper took no chances and raised him twelve pounds to seventy two.

As a 5 and 6 year old he has found life tough off his new mark. Thankfully the handicapper has relented, and when the new season does finally get under way, watch out for Frankster in a 0-55 at Pontefract over a mile, on good to soft ground, preferably please.
