Quoteline Direct makes a rare foray to Newcastle on Friday, when he will contest a 0-60 Class 6 handicap over one mile and two furlongs at, with Jack Garritty taking the ride.

The last time Quoteline Direct ran at Gosforth Park was back in December of last year when he probably found the extended 12 furlongs sapping his stamina, over the stiff track. His only other appearance at the track was in December 2019 over 10 furlongs, when he was beaten by six lengths from a 3lb higher mark than now.

Quoteline Direct seems to reserve his best form for Wolverhampton these days, and he has visited the track on five occasions this season, finishing second three times, and third once. His latest start was on the turf at Redcar 18 days ago when never able to land a blow.
