Mister McArthur has his third flat start on Tuesday at Thirsk in a one mile, three year old's and upwards novices stakes, where the going at the time of writing is good to firm and they are watering. The race is at 2.45.pm, with Aiden Brookes retaining the ride, and following this run Mister McArthur should be eligible for his first handicap mark.
Mister McArthur made his racecourse debut in bumper company at Catterick in February, making no show in heavy ground. He was meant to make his flat debut at Wetherby in April, but refused to go in to the stalls. He finally got his first flat run, when equipped with a hood at Redcar over a mile in May, finishing in ninth, 19 and a half lengths behind the winner. He was last seen in another decent contest at Ripon 19 days ago, when slightly bettering the Redcar run. He retains the hood for this race at Thirsk, which is another tough looking contest.
