ONE ON THE FLAT AND ONE OVER THE JUMPS ON SATURDAY.

Burnage Boy is our runner on the flat at Redcar, when he contests the 1.50.pm, a 0-50 handicap over one mile and six furlongs, with Graham Lee, who knows the horse well, taking the ride. Burnage Boy has struggled for form in 10 attempts since returning to action last August, with the one bright spot coming over two miles at Redcar in April, when he went down by two and a quarter lengths to finish fourth, although only four and a half lengths covered the first seven home. The predicted good to firm ground will not be a problem, and neither will the trip.

Up at Perth Late Date reverts to hurdles for the first time since April 2018, when he goes to post at 3.10.pm, in a 0-105 handicap hurdle over three miles, where the going at the time of writing is good. Late Date currently has the unenviable form figures of 'P4PPPPP' from his last seven starts, which were all over fences. If a return to the smaller obstacles has the desired effect then Late Date is a very well treated horse, as he is 11lb below his last winning mark, Alain Cawley will take the ride.
