NOT WHAT IT SEEMS.

NOT WHAT IT SEEMS. 19 April 2016. Robin Des Pres-Kyle Ruby. Owner-Stephen Sugden And Ryder Sugden.

Not What It Seems is the first offspring of his dam, the winning pointer Kyle Ruby, who only ran four times, all in point to points, she won once, and was placed twice. His sire is the very good source of national hunt horses, the French bred Robin Des Pres.

Not What It Seems has only run on three occasions to date, all in bumpers in Ireland, fo the yard of Gordon Elliott. He made his debut at the Galway Festival in July of this year, keeping on well to be forth, but beaten 22 lenghs by his stablemate Weseekhimhere. He reapeared 16 days later at Tramore, going off as the 3/1 second favourite, he finished second, beaten by 13 lenghs to the odds on chance, with a lengh and a half to spare over the horse in third. At Bellewstown 11 days later he once again finished runner up, having gone off second favourite, and being beaten 19 lenghs by the favourite, but he did beat the third horse by 11 lenghs.According to the Racing Post ratings he has run to a similar level in all three races, recording a rating of 99. If he carries his bumper form over to hurdling, his new owners will have lots of fun.
