Mister Bells who had run respectively in his four previous starts since arriving from Ireland, came good at the fifth attempt at Market Rasen on Sunday afternoon, when comfortably coming home by a length and three quarters, under Emma Smith-Chaston, who continues to impress with her riding.

Whether it was because it is the easiest race he has contested for us, or the 8lb drop in the weights, or the reapplication of cheek pieces, or a bit of all three, is open to discussion, but Mister Bells has shown he still as the enthusiasm to want to win.
