We have three recent winners all going to post on Thursday, where the going on the flat at Hamilton is currently good to firm, while for the jumpers in the evening at Worcester it is currently described as good, good to firm in places.
Dragons Will Rise probably recorded a personal best when last seen at Ripon seven weeks ago, when finishing a staying on third over 12 furlongs. He will once again race from the same mark of 80, but this step down in trip to nine furlongs may not play to his strengths as well. The race is at 2.50.pm, a 0-85 handicap with Aiden Brookes on board for the first time.
Balkotic was a winner at Sedgefield in May from a 3lb lower mark than now, but his two subsequent runs leave him with questions to answer. He was never travelling the next time at Southwell, and on his most recent run on the flat at Musselburgh 17 days ago he burst blood vessels. This time he reverts back to hurdles over two miles and seven furlongs in a 0-100 handicap at 7.55.pm, with Becky Smith back in the saddle.
On his stable debut for us at Market Rasen 11 days ago Mac Suibhne made the perfect introduction when readily winning by a length and a half, and as that was a conditionals event he will race unpenalised, making his chance an obvious one. He will once again be partnered by Emma Smith-Chaston over the same distance of two and a half miles. The race is a 0-100 handicap hurdle at 8.55.pm.
