KNOCKNAMONA CHASING A BIG PRIZE.

Knocknamona will take his chance in the 'Go North Monet's Garden Series Final Handicap Chase' on Sunday at 3.36.pm, over two miles and four furlongs at Carlisle, where his regular rider Alain Cawley will be in the saddle.

Knocknamona showed he was no back number when winning by an easy seven lengths at Newcastle in January from a mark of 10lb lower than now, on his favoured soft surface. Unfortunately his last two starts at Ayr and Sedgefield in February and March have been lacklustre, both under conditions which were in his favour.

Knocknamona is running in a better class race than he normally takes part in, and the predicted good going will not help, but this is a tremendous prize, with even third place paying more than he won at Newcastle.
